GE OEC 9900 Elite C-arm “Stator not on”
A “Stator not on” C-arm error means there is an issue with the rotation of the x-ray tube and you should place a call to a service engineer, we do not recommend you try to repair by yourself. However, you can perform basic checks before calling service, such as make sure that the key switch is in the ON position, checking all cables are secure, and ensuring the c-arm’s generator batteries are charged. C-arm Troubleshooting
- Keyswitch: Turn the keyswitch on the C-arm to the ON position; if it’s already ON,
- Power Supply & Batteries:
- Check the power supplies for the correct voltage
- Ensure the C-arm’s batteries are adequately charged.
- Cabling:
- Carefully look at the interconnect cable between the C-arm and the workstation for breaks or damage, as the cable can get abused. Make sure that all the pins are in the correct place in the interconnector cable. Sometimes the pins can get bent or pushed in.
- Anode For specific models like the GE OEC 9800 or GE OEC 9900 Elite C-arms, checking if the anode is seized up
Should you call for Service?
- DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF: This is not a “I think I can do myself” fix, and trying repairs without proper knowledge and tools can be dangerous. It is too risky!
- Qualified Engineer: A trained service engineer will use specialized equipment desined for the GE OEC 9900 Elite c-arm. DO not be a hero, Call a professional.
