GE OEC One CFD C-arm. Is it worth it?
Here’s is our humble opinion about GE OEC One CFD compact C‑arm—whether it’s a “nice” option depends a lot on your facility needs, but overall, here are some the advantages.
Positives Features:
1. Excellent Image Quality & Advanced Display
- The c-arm has a CMOS flat panel detector (CFD) delivering 1:1 image detail to a 27″ 4K UHD monitor, giving crisp, high-resolution visuals. The image is excellent for pain management.
- Features like Live Zoom, Adaptive Dynamic Range Optimization (ADRO), and motion & artifact reduction help optimize clarity while managing radiation dose

Our Thoughts on the OEC One CFD C-arm
The GE OEC One CFD can do the job, it is modern C-arm with excellent image quality, sharp design, and easily works with surgery settings. Its small footprint and excellent workflow make it a perfect fit for clinics, ASCs, and “packed to the gills” ORs.
With all this being said, if high penetration on heavier set patients is a mandatory—especially at the lowest radiation dose—you might want to purchase a c-arm with a rotating anode like the OEC Elite CFD or GE OEC 9900 Elite C_arm with more powerful generators. However, for most application, including laterals and general imaging, it appears to perform pretty darn good.
